should i choose DHI or FUE technique
Neither DHI nor FUE is automatically better. The more important factors are surgeon quality, donor management, graft handling, hairline design, and implantation density.
One terminology point is important: FUE describes how grafts are extracted, while DHI usually describes an implantation method using an implanter pen. A clinic advertising “DHI” may still extract the grafts using FUE.
For someone who still has a reasonable amount of existing hair and wants to increase density between existing hairs, DHI can be attractive because the implanter gives the team fine control over placement.
For larger bald areas requiring several thousand grafts, conventional FUE extraction followed by channel/slit implantation can be very effective and efficient.
But I wouldn't choose a clinic simply because it says “DHI.” A beautifully executed FUE procedure is much better than a poorly executed DHI procedure.
The questions I'd prioritize are: Who extracts the grafts? Who creates the recipient sites/does the implantation? How many grafts does my donor safely support? What density are you targeting? And what is the plan if my native hair continues thinning?
